This booklet unfolds a trio of captivating tales, each delving into the eternal cycles of life, death, and rebirth. The narratives, titled "The Last Leaf," "The Last Dream of an Old Oak," and "The Last Whisperer," are brought to life against a canvas of bold blues, purples, yellows, and oranges. As the sole illustrator, I embraced a minimalist design to let the vivid colors and intricate details of the illustrations shine, capturing the essence of each story. To add a unique and elegant flair, I meticulously selected and combined varying typefaces for each word, phrase, and sentence, enhancing the visual appeal and creating a rich, immersive reading experience.
The most challenging aspect of this project has been figuring out the perfect color palette and strategically arranging illustration elements to create a seamless interaction with the text. Frustrated with the initial color scheme, I decided to tweak the hues of the branches and leaves, bringing a sense of harmony to the entire composition. The illustrations now shine with captivating gradient and outer glow effects, adding depth and vibrancy that truly bring the project to life.
