This Spring 2025, in Aaron Y.'s UX/UI class, I teamed up with AeJay Vivanh-Vong and Ivan Koh to create Filmora, a film data search tool that bridges movie passion with industry insight.
Filmora combines real-time box office data, trend analysis, and community engagement in one clean, user-friendly platform. Users can explore ratings, revenue analytics, and emerging trends while also creating profiles, writing reviews, and connecting with fellow film lovers.
Our design system draws on cinematic visuals: a bold red palette inspired by theater energy, contrasted with deep blacks and muted greys. We paired Dharma Gothic for striking headings with Owners for clarity and readability, echoing the drama of film posters with a modern touch.
Filmora was built to give audiences more than surface-level entertainment, offering clarity, context, and connection in today’s evolving cinematic landscape.
